♡ A message from Helena ♡
I’m very pleased to have been offering CDG in Perth and in my community since 2020. CDG is designed to help young girls and their mothers/caregivers learn to navigate the menstrual cycle (including the physical and emotional changes) and the menarche (first period). I love to teach our young girls how our bodies work, what is normal, and how can we celebrate all the changes we experience when we become women. I believe that knowledge is power and that trusting one’s own instincts is made easier with tried and true advice. Periods are just the start. If we can talk about periods with our daughters, without shame and embarrassment, our daughters will be more open to talk to us about other aspects of their sexuality and other issues that they may be facing. Our girls need to know that we are here for them to talk. Many mothers would love to help their daughters to transition gently into womanhood and experience their first period differently to what they did 30-40 years ago. We have so many resources these days and we are doing a great job in educating our daughters, but sometimes the intervention is not early enough and therefore when we try to start a conversation, there is no willingness to engage in conversation. The conversation is shut down before it has had a chance to begin. There is so much more to our menstrual cycle than just periods. Many girls shared with me that they are afraid of the unknown, not knowing when it happens, how it happens, how it feels, if it hurts, how much blood there will be, what do they do with the blood… Along with negative cultural discourse, the term menstruation can hold literal negative connotations because of blood’s correlation to suffering, pain, harm and injury. The ideology surrounding menstruation is not often inline with harmony, health, nature and miracles. Understanding this magical function of the body in a positive way takes the fear and shame away and replaces pessimism with excitement. There is something mystical and magical about learning this truth in a circle of girls. Girls feel like they can talk about these things and they don’t need to whisper about it. They giggle, they ask questions, share stories and learn from each other. It’s beautiful and rewarding to see the girls and mothers/caregivers leaving the workshop with excitement and happy anticipation, with no fear or shame about their bodies or periods. And I can promise that your daughter would feel like this too ♡Luna Bloom Booking Notes:

Start your Summer holiday with a special afternoon for you and your tween/teen daughter(s)
- Are you looking for an activity to strengthen your bond with your 10 to 16 year old tween/teen daughter?
- Would you like to:
- create something meaningful together?
- share dreams, have fun, and revel in the creative process?
- set intentions for the next year with trust and faith in your dreams?
- walk away with a personalised vision board?
This isn’t just a ‘cutting and gluing pictures on a board’ workshop. This is a unique experience guided by an experienced facilitator.
During this workshop, you’ll learn powerful techniques for manifesting your ideal life while deepening your connection with your daughter. Helena will assist both of you to create your own wheel of life, allowing for reflection on various aspects of your lives. After considering which area(s) of your life to focus on, what to commit to, and what to let go of, you will craft your vision board. You’ll also engage in bonding activities with your daughter before, during, and at the conclusion of the workshop.
Your vision boards will be a tangible representation of what resides in both your hearts, providing energy and motivation to fuel the effort needed to realise your dreams; fostering a deeper connection with your daughter.
All necessary supplies will be provided, but please free to bring along anything that inspires you so that you can share it or add to your board; for example: photographs of you and your daughter, family, pets, dream destinations, images, quotes, etc.
Bookings are available through this Luna Bloom Website and Eventbrite.
